Pakistan to host 48th OIC Conference '46' OIC foreign ministers confirm participation in Islamabad conference
ISLAMABAD: The government is all set to host a two-day meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) in Islamabad from Tuesday amid rising political temperatures in the country.
The 48th summit of the OIC-CFM will be held on March 22 and 23 under the theme: "Building Partnerships for Unity, Justice, and Development."
"Pakistan wants to promote unity among the Muslims on this occasion and address other issues, particularly Islamophobia and hate speech," he said while addressing a press conference here at the Foreign Office, ahead of the OIC meeting of Council of Foreign Ministers on March 22-24.

The OIC is the second-largest intergovernmental organization in the world after the UN. It comprises 57 Muslim member states spread across four continents. It is considered the collective voice of Muslim countries around the world and aims to promote the interests of its member states.
The summit will discuss developments in Afghanistan and its humanitarian consequences for the Afghan people, and the prevailing situation in Indian illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir, read the statement.
