The foreign minister of Pakistan, Shah Mehmood Qureshi, while talking to media said that Saudi -led the organization of Islamic conference should not delay the meeting of foreign ministers. Talking about the Kashmir issue, he clearly warns that any further delay would not be acceptable.
Appearing in a talk show on ARY News, the foreign minister said: “I am once again respectfully telling OIC that a meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers is our expectation. If you cannot convene it, then I’ll be compelled to ask Prime Minister Imran Khan to call a meeting of the Islamic countries that are ready to stand with us on the issue of Kashmir and support the oppressed Kashmiris.”
He said that silence is not the answer to the Kashmir issue.
The foreign minister further urges Saudi Arabia to lead the issue of Kashmir. He talked about atrocities of Indian Armies on the innocent Kashmiris. He reminds Saudis that Pakistan has skipped Kuala Lumpur summit on his demand.
